NLP Children’s Vitamins and Minerals

N.L.P children's Vitamins and minerals is a complete vitamin, mineral preparation which is needed for the normal activities of children of different ages. This preparation is presented in cherry flavoured chewable form.

Importance:
This preparation consist of:

1. Vitamin A (Retinol)
This vitamin is important for vision and growth. It maintains retinal function, epithelial tissue growth. It aids also the immune functions, fertility, and reproduction. Vitamin A is needed for healthy hair, skin, mucous membranes, bones and teeth, and for the formation of protien and growth hormone.

Vitamin D
Vitamin D most important role is maintaining blood levels of calcium, which accomplishes by increasing absorption of calcium from food and reducing urinary calcium loss, both effects keep calcium in the body and therefore spare the calcium that is stored in the bones. When necessary, Vitamin D transfers calcium from the bone into the blood stream, which doesn't benefit bones. Although the overall effect of Vitamin D on the bones is complicated some Vitamin D plays a role in immunity and blood cell formation. Vitamin D also helps cells differentiate a process that may reduce the risk of cancer. Vitamin D increases both calcium and phosphorus absorption. Vitamin D is important for collagen formation.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
Vitamin E functions as antioxidant i.e. it prevents cell membrane damage. The manifestations attributed to Vitamin E deficiency involve neurological dysfunction, possible red blood cells fragility and anemia.

Vitamin B group
Vitamin B, (Thiamin) – Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxin), Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalaniine) Niacinamide Vitamin B substance such as PABA, Inositol, Biotin (Vitamin H)
This group is essential for healthy digestion, proper food metabolism and energy production. It is important for:
a. correct functioning of the heart, the nervous system and the immune system.
b. healthy clear skin, hair & nails.
c. improvement of memory, it also aids in the prevention of certain types of anemia.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that functions as a powerful antioxidant.
Vitamin C is needed to make collagen that strengthens many parts of the body such as muscles and blood vessels.
Vitamin C also plays important roles in wound healing and as a natural antihistamine.
This vitamin also aids in the formation of liver bile and helps to fight viruses and to detoxify alcohol and other substances.
The deficiency of Vitamin C may lead to capillary fragility and increased possibility of bleeding, as it is required for the integrity of blood capillaries and for facilitation of iron absorption.

Iron
Iron is part of hemoglobin (necessary of red blood cells formation), the oxygen carrying component of the blood. Iron deficient people tires easily, because their bodies are starved for oxygen. Iron is also part of myoglobin, which helps muscle cells store oxygen. Without enough iron, adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the fuel the body runs on, can not be properly synthesized. As a result, some iron deficient people become fatigued even when their hemoglobin levels are normal.

2.Zinc
Zinc is trace element which is a component of more than 300 enzymes that are needed to repair wounds, maintain fertility, synthesize protein, help cells reproduce, preserve vision, boost immunity and protect against free radicals, maintaining healthy appetite among other functions.

3.Copper
A trace element, which is needed to absorb and use iron. It is also part of the antioxidant enzyme super oxide dimutase (SOD). Copper is needed to make adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy the body runs on. Synthesis of collagen requires copper and tyrosinase, the enzyme that puts pigment into the skin.

4.L. Lysine
Lysine is an essential amino acid needed for growth and to help maintain nitrogen balance in the body. Essential amino acids cannot be made in the body and must be supplied by the diet or supplements. Lysine appears to help the body absorbs and conserve calcium.

10. Potassium
Potassium is required to regulate water balance, levels of acidity, blood pressure, and neuromuscular function. It is also required for carbohydrate and protein metabolism. Potassium might be supportive in conditions of congestive heart failure, hypertension, kidney stones as well as it acts as a tonic agent and it is required for normal heart beat.

11. Calcium
In addition to its well known importance in the formation and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth (i.e. preventing osteoporosis, rickets) and its role in red blood clotting process; calcium is very necessary for the integrity of many cells especially those of the neuromuscular system. Calcium is needed for the proper transmission of signals in nerve cells and muscle contraction. Dietary supplements may contain one of several different forms of calcium. One difference between the various calcium compounds is the percentage of elemental calcium present.
